How Distribution Works

Share pick-up runs from 8:45am – 10:30am every Saturday from June 9 through November 17 at Habana Outpost’s patio on the corner of South Portland Avenue and Fulton Street. We ask for your patience if we are still setting up at 8:45am, as the farm trucks’ arrivals are out of our control.

Fair warning: Distribution ends promptly at 10:30am.

The nature of our volunteer-run CSA makes it impossible to “hold” a member’s share to be picked up outside of the designated time. While we suggest that members arrive by 11:00am at the absolute latest, we recommend arriving much earlier to avoid long lines (9:00-10:00 is usually the fastest/quietest). Once it gets closer to 10:30, we might bring produce over to members waiting in line, as a way to speed up the process. If you would prefer to leisurely handle your own produce, please arrive earlier in the morning. Note that we will refuse to distribute shares promptly at 10:30am. We cannot be flexible with this cutoff time, even if you plead with us or call us names!

Please remember that every member must bring bags and other containers to carry shares home.  We recommend that you bring several canvas or other reusable bags, large baskets, or plastic bags/containers. The plastic bags are helpful both to separate the items that might have dirt on them – such as radishes and potatoes – from your other produce, and to hold loose salad greens.

Please note that if you have an egg share, after the first distribution you are responsible for always bringing an egg carton to collect your eggs.
