Winter CSA starts November 14, which means we’ll go straight through from Summer to Winter. There will be six distributions: November 14, November 21, December 5, December 19, January 9, and January 23, running from 9 to 10 am at Habana Outpost. Members are not required to work during winter CSA.
Fall is nearly here, dear members, but you know what is here? Tote bags!
At this weekend’s distribution, we will have freshly designed Greene Harvest CSA tote bags for sale at $10 each. All proceeds directly support our subsidized shares.
We’re still looking for a few volunteers to join us distributing veggies at the Bed-Stuy Mobile Market with City Harvest on October 3rdfrom 8:45am – 12pm. If you’re interested or want more info, please email Brigitte at firstname.lastname@example.org
One more thing before we get to the distribution. What are you doing October 11? Join us for a trip to The Farm at Miller’s Crossing in Hudson, NY, and meet the farmers who grow and harvest and package and deliver your vegetables! Save the date, and keep an eye out for more info in your email soon.
Share Distribution (9 – 11am):
1 bunch Turnips
1 Butternut Squash
1 lb Carrots
1 head Lettuce or Cabbage
1 head Garlic
1.5 lb Heirloom Tomatoes (maybe 1 lb)
1 lb Beefsteak Tomatoes
2 ears Sweet Corn

2015 pick up dates are Saturday, June 6 – Saturday, Nov 7 (except for July 4!) 9am – 11am at Habana Outpost. Sign ups are closed for the season, but we do still have some subsidized shares available. Contact us for more info: email@example.com
Stop by Habana Outpost this Saturday, April 18, from 11 am until 2 pm, where we will be signing up new CSA members. Saturday is also Habana’s opening weekend, so this will definitely be the most festive of our sign-up events.
Want to join the GHCSA? We will be having our second new member sign up event on Saturday, March 28th 10am – 12pm at Habana Outpost: 757 Fulton St @ South Portland (entrance on South Portland). Sign up for the wait list to receive more info and updates about upcoming sign up events.
Sign-ups for the Summer 2015 CSA season begin Saturday, February 21. Current members may sign up online (via a link we’ll send to your email), or come see us in person at Habana ToGo Saturday, February 21, from 10:30 am to 12 pm. For those of you on the waiting list, we will have in-person sign-up on Saturday, March 14, at Habana Outpost from 10 am to 12 pm. Online sign-ups are only available to current members; new members must attend an in-person event.
If you were a member of GHCSA in 2014, you should have received a survey from us asking for your feedback on the last season. Please fill them out (check your spam and “promotions” folders if you don’t see this in your mailbox)! We use the survey responses to plan new seasons – and we share them with our farmers – and we greatly appreciate hearing from our members. And keep an eye on those email in-boxes for new season sign-up dates.
Already missing summer CSA? Mark your calendars: first winter CSA distribution is November 8 (and yes, half of the winter CSA will technically take place in the fall!). Complete winter CSA info here.
Winter CSA sign up for members is now closed.
If you are currently a member of GHCSA, there is still time to sign up for a winter CSA share. For those of you new to the Winter Share, vegetable shares are comprised of frozen veggies as well as storage vegetables (like squash and sweet potatoes, among other things). Pick ups are Saturdays, but because the food comes pre-boxed and it is very cold outside, distributions are 1 hour instead of two. More information here.
To sign up, follow the link in the email you received from GHCSA in late September. If you can’t find the email, and you’d like to sing up for winter CSA, please email firstname.lastname@example.org
