What are Shares?

A "share" is your weekly haul of farm-fresh goods.

A single vegetable share usually includes 7-10 different veggies, and a family share can feed 2-3 veggie-loving people for the week.

Want more? You can add extras like eggs, fruit, heirloom tomatoes, coffee, and even beef-and yes, you can double up on those if you like.

All shares are paid for upfront in one seasonal fee. Every member must purchase at least one veggie share to join.

The Season

The first wave of the CSA runs for roughly 25 weeks, from mid-June through mid-November. The second wave starts in July and runs for 20 weeks.

Each week brings a new mix of what's in season-greens in the spring, tomatoes in the summer, squash and roots in the fall. No two weeks are quite the same, and that's part of the fun.

How Pickup Works

Pick up happens every Saturday from 8:30 AM to 10:15 AM at Habana Outpost's patio (corner of South Portland Ave and Fulton Street in Fort Greene).

If you cannot pick up

Send a friend, partner, neighbor, whoever you trust with your kale. Just make sure they give your name at check-in.

Leftover food is donated locally so nothing goes to waste.

Pitching In

To keep things running smoothly, all members volunteer once during the season at a Saturday pickup. It's a great way to meet other members and be part of the community.
